You can not go wrong with SanDisk memory cards or usb. I've been using these for years and never an issue. They have a great warranty and it comes with software to recover files if needed. I am a photographer and I buy these to give my clients. Great speed and plenty of capacity.

These are so useful and good to have to use regularly , put special photos, or program installers or MP3s etc. We all have likely had a computer just quit on us and having a USB backup gives at least some peace of mind. The 'cloud' lost lots of my files because there was an interruption while it was automatically uploading. That was very disappointing so after that, I decided, OK im going to save stuff on these things, and they don't take up a huge amount of space. I would trust the names you have heard of, sandisk is reliable. I don't know about all these other brands but read reviews. Not losing my stuff is worth paying a little more for peace of mind. Even sandisk thumb drives i have had for 10 years still works
