Ice Maker keeps freezing up

I had a tech to replace the ice maker once in my refrigerator, now it needs replacing again. When I had it replaced the first time, the water pitcher never fills up after that. I went thru all the troubleshooting and settings. It will NOT work. I cannot buy a new refrigerator that works, every day. I am online now trying to find an ice maker so we can replace it ourself to save service call.

No more Samsung refrigerators.

We've had this for 4+ yrs. We have had issues with water dispenser, pitcher, line, and ice maker multiple times every year. The layout of the shelving, even though they can be moved, and the sizes of the door shelving, make fitting anything in this refrigerator impossible. It is terribly impractical for storing food and drinking containers. My cousins had the same refrigerator with the same issues before finally getting a new one last year. I am shopping for a new one. It will not be a Samsung. We have a Samsung stove/oven. Fantastic. I have had Samsung phones since the Galaxies were first released, but refrigerators are a miss for me. Also, I like technology. The app is super flaked, too. I really wanted to try the new ones with AI and all the fun stuff but just not going to chance it.

Fed Up

Although I really like the features on this refrigerator, I would not recommend anyone buying it because the ice-maker freezes up on a weekly basis! I have to take the bin out every week and let it thaw. It's like having a 1950s top freezer that would have to periodically be defrosted. I'm beginning to believe no one can make a refrigerator with an ice dispenser that works more than a year. I'm so tired of it I'm going to buy a new refrigerator with an old fashioned ice maker, even tho this one is fairly new.
