For the price, I really was not sure if this shower arm was going to work, but decided to give it a try being that I could not find one any where else. I had tried the hooks that are just like this about 10 years ago, and was not even able to use them. They would not stay put! But, I will tell you the Safe-Er-Grip Portable Shower Arm really stays put! The first time I put it on the shower wall, I just stuck it anywhere just to see if it would stick to the wall....I had a hard time getting it off of the wall. Make sure you are placing it on an area with no grout lines, and lean into it,(put pressure on it) as you are pressing down on the latch. That way there will be no air that will cause it to unstick. Then you will have no problem with it. I have been using it for over a month now, and it only came unstuck one time, which was my fault for not pushing the handle down, which is what creates the suction. I have tile and glass in my shower, and it sticks great on both.
