I have a 12' runner, and it slides around, so, really needed something to keep it stable. I found the rug pad, had the grip design on the bottom, nice padding to walk over. After it arrived, I laid it out, it curled up on both ends, but the weight of the carpet helped hold it down. Eventually I had to tape the ends down with moving/packing tape to the wood flooring to keep the ends down. I hope to remove the tape once the pad and carpet "lay" down better. Now the carpet has padding, nice to walk on and I feel safer walking on it!
