The carpet is thin, but is well bound . The colors are bright and the material is soft. I could tell my grandson liked it, because he's very texture oriented and he just kept feeling it. If you want a larger dimension, they match up well, but being thin , you'd probably want to join them together ( duct tape/ sew, etc) so they don't slip and slide, but on a carpeted surface they're perfect.
