SPRI Wrist Weights, Pair, 2 lb Each

I was pleased with these. They are well made and the material didn't scuff or cause irritation even when sweat got to it. They weigh 2lbs each and are not heavy, but they actually made a noticeable difference to my run on the treadmill. It didn't cause lactic acid build up in my arms (the burn), but I felt the run was more demanding and by the end my arms felt like they had done something. I've used leg and wrist weights in the past, but the sliding with movement always made them uncomfortable and caused chafing. The thumb holes fixed that issue and made a good idea work, however for my thumbs the hole was on the tight side. It didn't cut off the circulation, but I could feel the tightness. These may be marketed as unisex, but I feel they are sized more towards females. They fit my wrists with Velcro showing, but they could go on smaller. I also used them with my punch bag and they stayed on. I couldn't use my training gloves at the same time, but to be honest I often don't wear them. Guys these really kick in with a bag workout! Just make sure you have them on tight. A little practice is needed putting them on so they fit snugly. You don't want them too loose because that will allow for rubbing with movement. I found resting the weight on a table with the palm down the easiest way to do it alone. In all for adding to cardio or light exercise I'm going to say these are a plus. I would also say they'd be great for the elderly who are chair/bed bound and need to exercise sitting down. Two thumbs up!
