Was using NOS sennheiser pads for the longest time and decided to try a few alternative replacement pads to see if I would have to spend 40-50 dollars on OEM sennheiser pads after their revision (making their frequency response much worse and being lower quality with material peeling away from the plastic ring) every half year. Pleasantly surprised by how these measure and feel much more premium compared to the velour foam pads, measurements show a frequency response that gets much more close compared to other alternatives I tried including the 1-5 dollar aliexpress foam velour replacements, with an elevated bass and slightly toned down treble making them perfect as a way to balance out the issues with the HD580 I originally had. I will be adding this a list for replacement parts for HD6X0 pads like the HD580 alongside the capra strap and am earnestly waiting for the next sale to buy a few more. At this price of $12-15, this beats the current amazon price of $21. Finally, although they advertise the cooling feature this lasts for a few minutes before they get warm and adding water via included pipette doesn't seem to have much effect, so I don't recommend adding water to avoid them breaking down or having other issues with the wires or drivers in the headphones.
