Handy, works well, but...
Let me start by saying, "I love this thing". It is compact, always with me and works! The only problem is that with use or frequent carrying (that's why you want it on a keychain...right?) the rods tend to fall out. I hope that SOG will modify the rod channel/rod seating to alleviate this issue. That said, SOG has replaced one for me in the past, and I am sure they would again, if I were to ask them to. I will be buying another one anyway, since it has been a while and they replaced my last one.

Works For Me
I got one and since the reviews were critical, when I got it home I dropped super glue in the firesteel and the ceramic (just on case) set aside to set, then tossed it in a pocket. It sharpens serrated and straight edges, makes sparks, and is still together. Easy fix/mod that prolly voids warranty, but it isn't expensive... it's handy.
