I purchased a couple of sets for my 11 %26 13 year old grandsons to play with while they were visiting this summer. I thought they might be too old for it, but it kept them occupied for hours at a time. They loved them %26 took them home when they left. They competed to out-build each other %26 then collaborated to see how big of a structure they could build. They especially liked building something big enough that they could climb in %26 out of. I had some problems getting connectors to work the way I wanted them to, but the boys did not. They had enough pieces to build a fort for two %26 slept in it for the time they were here %26 still had pieces left to play with. Came with handy storage bags as well. Made a great gift. Probably appropriate for ages 6 . Younger grandkids mostly tore up structures. Takes a little engineering know-how to realize when you're using the wrong spot on the connector. (Think life-size TinkerToy set with more angles.) For the price, this was a winner.
