Sunex Flood Light Rechargeable 1K Lumens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This flood light is the perfect companion for any mechanic, whether you are just a DIYer or a professional. The light's arm folds flat with the light creating a slim profile which is perfect for storing in your toolbox. One of my favorite features is the magnetic base on the unit. Although the base is pretty thin, the magnets that Sunex used in the base are extremely strong - so it will not move unless you really want it to. Sunex even went to the trouble of adding a rubber coating over the magnetic base so that you don't have to worry about it scratching your vehicles paint. I haven't had a chance to completely drain the battery yet, but so far I have used it for several hours without it needing to be recharged. There is a handy battery meter on the back of the unit with 4-lights to let you know the state of the battery charge (25/50/75/100%). The unit includes a USB-C cable to charge the unit which is very useful because I do not have any other devices that use a USB-C cable. The other end of the charging cable is a standard USB plug that will hook into any USB charging block such as the one that comes with your cell phone. I hooked up my USB meter to the charging cable while charging the flood light and can confirm that the light pulls 0.68 amps while charging - so any standard cell phone charge will allow this light to charge at full speed (most cell phone chargers are 1.0 amp or more). You can also use the light while it's charging, so if you happen to run out of juice while you are working you can simply plug it in and continue using the light while it charges. Overall I'm very pleased with the quality of this light and would recommend it.

It's even brighter than the fluorescent that I have to keep plugged in! I will be using this thing from now on. After being impressed by how bright it is, I was impressed by how long the battery lasts! I have used this thing for a nearly 10 hour day, and it never got any less bright than when I first turned it on. The magnet and adjustable mount/stand are incredibly handy for pointing the light right where you need it, too! All around great tool!
