Pedro Luis Ferrer is one of Cuba's most powerful contemporary voices. His new album RUSTICO goes bakc to the roots of Cuban music to draw on the essence of changui, a genre from the mountains of Guantanamo. Pedro delivers to US a new sound that he calls changuisa, experimenting with tradition and formats. With a marimbula (Cuba's most primative bass), a Peruvian box, a tres guitar and claves, RUSTICO's unique acoustic sound is music to enjoy, dance and most importantly think.
