Product details
The Ruger® Blackhawk® is a spring piston single stroke break barrel air rifle with an all-weather composite black stock. This Ruger® Air Rifle's stock is ambidextrous (for both left- and right-handers) and has checkered grip areas in both the pistol grip and forearm. The Blackhawk® rifle shoots pellets out of its rifled barrel at 1000 fps. Accuracy is a breeze with its fiber optic sights or with the use of the included 4x32 air gun scope. Adding to the Black Hawk® Rifle's ruggedness is its blued metal finish and rubber recoil pad. Available in 1000 fps or the easier cocking 490 fps rifle. Uses 177 caliber pellets. Ruger® branded products are manufactured by UMAREX under license from Sturm, Ruger & Co, Inc.

Louder than expected. I shot a pellet through a 3/4 inch piece of plywood (not particle board) at a measured 35 feet. The scope mount was a hassle, not well designed, but I had it on there and sighted in in about an hour. You'll have to tighten the screws multiple times to really lock everything down.

Accurate, hard hitting .177 pellet rifle.
1) I have a Sheridan 20 cal. pellet rifle. It is good and strong. But, it does get tiresome pumping the rifle up to 8 pumps. 2) I bought this Ruger Blackhawk pellet gun for my wife. It was to heavy for her and she had a hard time cocking the weapon, which requires 30 pounds. 3) No problem. I kept the Blackhawk and bought her a Ruger Explorer, which she handles very well.
