we have a Chichoua pup. He went for his first ride in this light weight carrier. i turned on some music..he slept all the way. Had a padded bottom...throw a small blanket in it for more comfort as bottom not comfortable. Not enough padding. Don't know about washingvthe bottom insert yet. lots of ways to open it.
