Mighty impressive turntable

It's ready to use right out of the box, but because of its size and weight it's somewhat lumbersome to turn and would have benefited from a larger set of ball bearings to make the lazy susan's movement more fluid. That does NOT diminish its functionality, however, and I would still recommend the product. Keep in mind, however, that because of its size (27 inches across) you really should use it with a table at least 60 inches in diameter (that would leave you with 33 inches for settings with 16.5"" all around ... sufficient for individual settings of plates, silverware, and glasses. We've found it particularly adapted for multiple fondu pots all going at the same time, with dinner guests having easy access for whatever they were ""cooking"" at the time, whether cheese, meats, vegetables, seafood and/or chocolate-coated fruits or marshmellows.
