All moving parts in an engine need clean oil to function. A premium filter maintains the quality of the oil circulating in the lubrication system, keeping your engine running efficiently for a lot longer. The Royal Purple Extended Life Oil Filter 10-2840 with silicone anti-drain back valves uses 100% synthetic micro-glass filtration media supported by steel mesh backing for superior particle removal. The quality of an oil filter is stated as a percentage of particles caught at a certain size or larger. Royal Purple boasts 99% filtration efficiency at 25 microns or larger, and 80% at 10 microns. We don't believe in messing with perfection, so we only produce one type of oil filter with variations for different motor vehicles.

AMAZING Filter
I've been using the Royal Purple Extended Life Oil Filter on my 2021 Subaru Crosstrek, and I couldn't be more impressed with it's quality and performance. Right from the start, I noticed the superior construction of this filter compared to standard options. One of the standout features of this filter for me, is it's high-efficiency filtration, which captures 99% of particles as small as 25 microns. This is significantly better than many conventional filters that only trap larger contaminants. The micro-glass media inside the filter provides superior dirt-holding capacity, meaning it can trap more contaminants without restricting oil flow. I also love the thick metal end caps and heavy-duty silicone anti-drain back valve, which help maintain oil pressure and prevent dry starts. This is a big deal for engine longevity, especially in cold environments where proper lubrication is critical.
