Honestly, these are the only tube-style watercolors I have used so far, I am relatively new to painting. But I have had much success with these. The quality seems very good, especially considering the affordable price, which I greatly appreciate since my family struggles financially due to health issues and painting (and drawing) has been helping me so much to relieve stress that I feel it helps me to be a better person. The colors are beautiful, easy to mix, smooth consistency. I can use them straight out of the tube for more opaque, almost acrylic-like techniques, or I can easily water them down for more conventional, watery effects. The pigmenting seems very good to me, at least better than some other styles of watercolor I have used. One thing I like about the tube watercolors over the dry kinds (pans, cakes, pencils, etc.) is that after it dries it does not have any dust wipe off.
