Rowenta Accesteam Steam Iron in Purple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Rowenta Iron seems to be a good choice and has some really good features. The first thing I really like is the number of steam holes on the plate. There are a ton of them so the steam comes out with a burst of power and has plenty of places to come out of the iron. The tip of this iron is the most precise I've ever used. It does a really good job of getting in between the buttons on my shirts to iron out those tough to reach places. It's also great for smaller areas like shirt collars. The iron heats up fast when I use it and it has a pilot light that goes out letting you know the iron is hot and ready to use. It has multiple safety auto shut offs which is great. It shuts itself off when it sits idle upright for too long, is horizontal, or mistakenly tips over. The water reservoir holds about a cup of water so I can iron multiple items without having to refill it. The reservoir is also covered to help with leaking back over what you've already ironed. I think this feature going to come in handy when ironing multiple things and has been a problem in the past with other irons. There are a couple of features that I like on the iron but feel they could be improved upon. The first is the cord reel. I love that it coils up into the bottom of the iron and I don't have to worry about figuring out how to wrap up the cord. This keeps it from snagging on stuff or taking up extra room. What I don't like as much is that I feel like it is not as smooth as it could be. It takes multiple times of hitting the button and getting it to retract into the iron and it seems choppy as it coils up. The other thing I felt was difficult to use on the iron was the temperature control. I felt that it was somewhat difficult to get to and adjust. I think that this is something that I will get used to the more I use it and do not see it as a big reason for not choosing this iron. Overall, I think this Rowenta Iron is great quality and is going to be easy to use and help me not dread ironing those shirts and pants so I can wear them.

It also doesn't spray water everywhere and it's the perfect weight, not too heavy yet heavy enough to iron out wrinkles without bearing down on it.nGlides smoothly.
