well if you want to make a 6-year-old happy buy them these skates my grandson was over the moon they were easy to put on and take off he could do it himself and being sick it's all about doing it yourself you don't need anyone's help now I will tell you you can't learn to roller skate by watching YouTube something that surprised the heck out of my 6-year-old grandson he expected to put them on and just skied away he was kind of comical but yes I would buy these skates again they're not flimsy in any way they're sturdy strong there they look safe with the break I'm very happy with them but I would say if you have a child who is very very chunky or stocky in the lower legs you might have a hard time getting them on and off

I bought this for my 4yr son for Christmas. He had only been skating once or twice but he asked for a pair of skates. I like these because they are adjustable to they will grow with him. He also loves the Red and blue colors because it matches well with SpiderMan which is his favorite character.
