The deep pockets are an extra bonus so I can easily carry items like my phone. I'd like to mention I'm a female and 6' tall. I have such a hard time finding robe's that fit lengthwise while searching the women's selection. It may state mens robe in the title description, but I'd highly recommend this for the ladies too!
