Dual independent Rinnai RXP199 systems with recirc
We originally had an RUC98i and RUR98i plumbed in parallel with a large 1" PEX recirculation loop feeding a total of 5.5 bathrooms. To make a long story short, the latency was unacceptable, even after we added a a Control-R WiFi module and remote pushbuttons at the end points. We recently replaced them with 2 Rinnai RXP199 units, each with its own recirculation loop that feeds half of the bathrooms. This dramatically reduced the latency both with and without recirculation enabled and we are now happy campers.

Good but not perfect...
Rinnai has a long history in tankless water heater industry, so I exclude all other brands and went with the top of the line model RXP199iN immediately when it was time replacing the old hot water heater tanks. And the unit performs well, but my complaint is toward their wireless module RWM200, it's great when it's connected, but the unit would lose it's WiFi connection sometime for no reason, and it would not AUTOMATICALLY RECONNECT, and you need to physically go to reset it and sometimes reprogram the network settings... It's a pain in the neck when the unit is installed in the attic.

Rinnai Tankless Instant hot water
We had our tankless installed in May 2025. It has thrown a "code 11" about a dozen times. The unit starts beeping and I have to go in and reboot the power on/off to get it to clear. We recently found out via our heating service person when he called Rinnai that it may have a defective pc board in it. Waiting for the new one to see if it clears up the problem. Otherwise I really like the instant and unlimited hot water supply!
