The little toy chainsaw looks like a real chainsaw down to the chain, the gas tank cap, the safety hand guard, etc. It has to have the batteries installed before it will crank. It cranks by turning on the switch and pulling the chord-- just like a real chainsaw. It is red just like lower priced ones at discount stores. Perfect for my Great Niece who lives in a rural part of SW Virginia. Her parents use chainsaws to prepare their winter's wood supply for their primary heat source for their home. Now she can help get the wood in with them!! KP
