Weber Genesis Gas Grill Burners 67820

I have an OLD Genesis 300. I've had this grill since 2008 (15 years). I ended up replacing my grilling grates, my flavorizer bars, three burners, the small cross burner, igniter, and the regulator hose. The biggest thing I learned from everybody through a Facebook forum for Weber grills is that you do not have to remove the three screws in the firebox. Everyone thinks these screws are holding down the burners. But in reality, the burners are just slid underneath them to prevent them from rattling free when moving the grill. You only have to remove the two screws holding the manifold on the firebox under the control panel on the right side of the grill. Yes, this can be a booger of a screw to get loose. However, the person who assembled my grill (not me) did not tighten the screws that much. Therefore, it was a pretty straightforward replacement. I used genuine parts from Weber through Walmart for the burner replacement, which cost around 70 bucks. I also ordered third-party burners that were half the amount just for comparison. After seeing the quality of the third-party burners, I returned them. This is a classic case of you getting what you pay for. The grilling grates were third-party. The flavoriser bars were porcelain by Weber. I got porcelain only because I replaced them one other time, and I know they will last me at least five years. I also would highly recommend when doing a burner replacement that, you go ahead and buy a replacement igniter. They are not that expensive. I had about $200 in parts and three hours of my own time to replace them and a good cleaning. I hope to get at least 5 to 8 years out of this grill. Honestly, it's already beat my expectation of what I thought I would get out of it. I carefully thought about buying a new grill versus just replacing the parts.I'm sure glad I did, as I feel like I saved myself about $800.  Thanks, everyone!
