The Thermo-Peep Heated Pad is the ideal additional heat source for your peeps! The 9" x 12" size is perfect for the urban farmer in many settings. Use in the first stages of life for mandatory heat requirements and later when old man winter pays a visit! The internal thermostat is pre-set to the perfect temperature. Ensuring your chicks do not "get chilled" will help prevent "pasting" and support a healthy start. Only 25 watts makes the Thermo-Peep Heated Pad the most energy efficient heat source on the market for your peeps. We even capped the cord entrance and the first 18" of the power cord with steel for the ultimate safety and well-being of your birds. You'll notice that the K&H Heated Bed may not feel warm to the touch when your pet is not on the pad. THIS IS NORMAL! Our products are designed to only warm when your pet is lying in the bed. You can test the pad by placing a large pillow on top of the bed. After about 20 minutes, feel under the pillow. It will feel warm, not hot. If you feel warmth, the product is working as designed. For use with 110/120 volt electrical current only.

K & H Thermo-Peep heated pad
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The K & H Thermo-Peep heated pad is great to have on hand. This is designed for chickens, but can work with other small animals as well. It has worked well for injured birds. It doesn't get too hot so it really gives you piece of mind.

warm chickies
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Keeping our chicks warm has always been a stressful area for myself, so I was delighted to receive this! It fits perfectly in a nesting box, Keeping eggs warm through the winter. The plastic is easy to clean if you decide to remove it from the coop. I do wish that the cord was a bit longer, but it easily fits an extension cord to my coop.
