Husqvarna MZ61 (61") 24HP Kawasaki Zero Turn Lawn Mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned the MZ61 with the Kawasaki 24HP engine for 8 months and have 56.2 hours on the hour meter. So far, I would not purchase any other mower to mow my 1.5 acres of lawn with many obstacles to navigate around, and get the job done in the shortest time with a clean cut. Mowing twice a week I don't need to bag the clippings as the deep deck, 21" blades and powerful engine do a great job cutting them small and throwing them far. I can mow at full speed and notice that the mower is more comfortable and less jarring over bumps than others I have used, maybe due to the larger diameter tires, thicker seat, cushioning spring design, and extra weight from the heavy duty built frame. The belt is as thick as those I have seen on commercial mowers, and shows no noticeable wear, is quiet running and has not come off once. This mower has so much room and access to the belt and pulleys compared to other mowers I looked at, that I don't expect replacing the belt will be difficult. The engine oil and filter was easy to change at 25 hours with the installed drain hose. I like that the caster bearings and wheel bearings can be greased with the installed grease zerks. Before initial use, I adjusted the steering arm linkages to stop them binding, and set the stops all the way in to allow full speed. I also levelled the deck and adjusted its height so the mow height matched what is shown on the adjust pin sticker. I was able to sharpen the blades a little more by hand with a file without removing them. I found rubber trailer wheel bearing caps to fit over the seat springs with a rubber grommet inside them so the springs don't gouge into the metal seat plate. It was all easy to do as everything is easy to access, and has been perfect since.

The only thing I had to do if we replace the deck belt that was my fault had a stick caught under the belt. I highly recommend the Husqvarna lawnmower brands.
