Good for stubborn pets like dwarf goats

This system has been amazing at training my dwarf goats to respect a boundary and to stay on their side of the fence. The line took time to bury but I love how I can see at a glance if the system is working. I recharge the collars at night while my goats sleep and put them on in the morning.

Works Just Fine!

It's important to note beforehand, this product has only been installed for 10 days. So far the fence is working exactly as planned. I chose the yard max version to maximize the 3/4 acre I contained so that our dog wasn't getting warnings 10' from the line. I read the instructions and installed accordingly. I didn't have an issue with the spring tab connections breaking. I didn't buy any twisted wire, I bought an additional roll of 500' and made my own with a drill. We have an 8 month old berneedoodle, and is precocious…we started training according to the manual. On day 2 he got a zap, and was mostly confused by it, and then he got zapped again and he instantly had complete understanding. He went and hid on the deck for a couple hours as he was quite scared but ever since then it's been great. He mostly avoids the border line altogether but when something is of particular interest he approaches slowly and the tone sends him back promptly; he very much understands it is a warning. Lastly, we live on a quiet street and we didn't want him to chase after dogs being walked by. Normally he would run out and want to play irregardless if they are friendly or not. He stops dead at the fence and barks now. I'm sure results will vary based on the type of dog you have.
