I wasnt sure when I read a few reviews, but this thing is excellent! No longer having to push so hard to get through the edging just start and follow. I have even had people compliment me on what a fantastic edge on my lawn. As far as the motor? Well starts first pull each time every time, a little more money but WELL WORTH IT!

A Top-of-the-Line product.
Edger arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was a little confusing. The directions could have been better. I opened YouTube and viewed a video showing how to assemble the edger. Wish I had done this prior to assembly. After I added oil, included, and non-ethanol gas it started up on the second pull. I allowed it to run, no load, for about a half hour and changing the engine speed to break-in the engine. Blade depth setting was easy to use, same with the blade angle. Throttle control is a great feature. When the engine is in idle the blade doesn't rotate. Overall construction is very heavy-duty, and the on-off switch is a nice feature. I expect this edger will last a long time.

I bought this earlier this year and I'm happy with it. It was a little complicated to put together (tough to hold bigger parts while you insert bolts). It starts easily, is easy to control, and does a consistent job. I wish it had a blade that was curved at the bottom so I could do a slight trench.
