Delta T13220

I am not sure about this product. I already had to replace the the water handle, the housing for the set screw had cracked and would no longer tighten the handle to the stem/cartridge. The replacement trim kit has no information about the Allen Wrench size.

Hi Kobi1, I am very sorry to hear you had to replace your handle on the Delta shower faucet. The handle set screw will take a 1/8" Allen wrench. I hope this information is helpful.

WATER TOO HOT

We had this installed professionally while getting our bathroom remodeled. The water has been too hot! We have tried many ways to fix it but none have been successful.

Hi KarinaTapia, Thank you for your review of the Delta Faucet CLASSIC Monitor® MODEL#: T13220. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are always happy to assist. Quality is very important to us and our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure high-quality performance.   It sounds as though the rotational limit stop may not have been adjusted. The rotational limit stop is used to limit the amount of hot water available such that, if set properly, the user will not be scalded if the handle accidentally is rotated all the way to “hot” when a person is showering or filling a tub. The first position allows the LEAST amount of hot water to mix with the cold water in the system. In the first position, the water will be the coldest possible when the handle is turned all the way to hot. As you move the rotational limit stop counterclockwise, you progressively add more and more hot water in the mix. The last position to the left will result in the greatest amount of hot water to the mix, and the greatest risk of scald injury if someone accidentally turns the valve handle all the way to the hot side while showering or filling a tub. To adjust the temperature of the water coming out of the valve, pull the disc back to a position where it is possible to remove the rotational limit stop and readjust the teeth engagement position to the desired temperature. Clockwise will decrease the outlet temperature, counterclockwise will increase the outlet temperature. Temperature change per tooth (notch) could be 4° - 16°F based on inlet water conditions. Repeat as necessary. Push disc until fully seated. If you would like installation help, you may contact our residential warranty line directly at 800-345-3358 (prompt 2, then 4).
