Very good wireless adapter

I have three of these installed on desktop computers at the far end of the house, about 30' to 40' from the router. They connect at between 200 and 400Mbps at that distance, which is more than enough to max. out the internet download speed at 50+Mbps so everyone is happy now. I tried several N adapters before deciding to try the A6200 and couldn't get more than about 30Mbps. I am using a Netgear R6250 router, which also works well. I experimented with one of the adapters connected to my laptop at about 15' from the router and it connected at the max 867Mbps, so distance does effect the speed, but it has much better range than wireless N. This adapter will also work for wireless N, B or G but you must have a wireless AC router to get the AC speed and range. In addition to the three A6200's I also bought a smaller A6100 adapter for my laptop and it works great too.

Amazing Fast Network Adapter

You get what you pay for, this adapter has everything I was looking for. I am glad I spent the extra money to get this adapter, my computer is even faster than when I was using cable, videos in HD Streaming and games are crystal clear and brighter. I am a happy camper...

Spectacular Performance

This thing is amazing. It picks up wireless signals that most wi-fi adapters don't even notice, like wireless alarm systems. The range must be huge, I'd guess at least 1/4 mile before the signal starts getting too weak to pick things up. It might be higher if someone is using a really powerful broadcast device. Also, when I bought this, I just had regular broadband internet. I just got Google Fiber and this thing is powerful enough to relay the 800 - 1,000 Mbps speeds that I use now. The only negative thing I can say about it is that I haven't owned it long enough to know how hardy and long-lasting it will be. But I've been using Netgear wireless adapters for over a decade, and they've always lasted.
