My doctor actually recommended this brand to me. It seems accurate in that when my blood pressure registers high, it's within the same parameters that it's always been at my doctor's office. My doctor has persistently wanted to know what my BP is when resting and commented that many people's BP readings are higher than normal at a doctor's office. I'm on two BP meds, so she is concerned that they're working. I have found that after futzing with putting on the cuff and adjusting my posture to how it's supposed to be to take a reading, if I just sit for a few minutes to relax, my readings are better, and often normal. I find the history of readings it keeps very helpful. My doctor also suggested that when I see her for my annual exam this winter that I bring my Omron monitor with me so they can check it against their readings they will get on me.
