Quality You Can Trust

Hefty is a name brand you can trust. The bag thickness is just right. It's not too thick to raise the cost yet not too thin that it rips. Looking at the mils compared to other bags you'll notice these are at the upper end. They seal solidly with no concerns over did it close properly? You actually hear a zip and a click to reassure what you had done. There is no little corner that remains open. There is no squinting the eyes to see if you have the seam lined up. Just zip and you are done with the sounds to back you up. I use both sizes but I like the gallon size as I buy many products in bulk size. I then break down the packages and store them in Hefty bags to preserve the freshness. Last summer I used them camping. They are great to keep things dry and the ants away. I also use them for dog food. It takes my two little 15 pound dogs months to eat a 50 pound sack. So I break down that huge bag with my Hefty sliders. That way I know my dog food remains fresh and the dogs are happy. I even use them in the garage to store items in. They have a million and one uses.

Stronger zipper seal, heavier plastic bag

Hefty solved a problem that I've periodically experienced with plastic storage bags – when I pinched the top closed, but because of a bit of food or something, the seal didn't completely close and the bag comes unsealed, spilling its contents. These bags have a patented “Maxlock” track design, which creates a more secure seal than the type you pinch closed. Unlike other types, the Hefty slider makes a zipping sound as a result of the serrated top, and when the bag is closed and sealed, the slider will make a clicking sound. The bag itself seems to be of a bit thicker gauge plastic than the others as well, so it will last longer. Hefty has always produced quality products and this storage bag is no exception. Highly recommended.

Patented MaxLock Track Guarantees Freshness!

Hefty slider storage bags are easier to open and close than any other storage bag on the market! Hands down, the Hefty slider storage bags almost make it possible to close a bag with one hand. One of the nice features of the slider storage bag is the certainty that your bag is actually sealed shut and the product that you have in your bag is properly sealed without any possible “gaps”. Other storage bags have used a two-zip lock section on their bags; however, you still have to double check to make sure that the entire bag is sealed while also trying to “burp” all the air out of the bag. With the Hefty slider storage, closing your bag and burping the air out of the bag is easily done. No more having to throw things out because the bag wasn't sealed properly and the cookies went stale! The patented MaxLock Track feature is a guarantee that your produce will remain fresh. As you close the bag, you hear the bag click when it is properly closed assuring the user that they don't have to double check the bag. Bags also have available writing spaces on them so you can write what product is in the bag as well as what date the product was put in the bag so that you know your item is still fresh. Another great thing about the Hefty slider is that it comes in quart and freezer size in both everyday use as well as freezer use!
