TCL 55" Class 4-Series 4K UHD HDR Smart Roku TV - 55S41

The TV has real nice high definition and the picture quality is perfect. The television is 50” bot is so light. It weighs less than our smaller tv. I was surprised when I hooked my outdoor UHF antenna to it. The sound is good and the volume can get loud if you need it to. It incorporates the antenna channels along with other app channels on the menu. I didn’t need to hook my firestick to it as it has all of the channels the stick had, plus many more. Right now, I am up to 380 channels and there are more to have. It has a lot of games available and my grandchildren love that. I like a few card games and I play live chess, using the remote. You can plug a thumb drive with movies, family pictures, and more, into the rear and enjoy. What I didn’t like, was having to figure out what a “PIN Number” was. There is a pop-up that wants your pin number for everything. I thought it was the parental control password I had put on it and kept putting that number in. You ABSOLUTELY have to read the instructions. Had I read them first, I could have saved myself a lot of trouble getting it up and running. I had to log in from a computer to set the pin number. I could have done it from my phone too. The remote control is a little hard to figure out. It has no numerical keypad. But once you understand it, it’s awesome. The television exceeded my expectations. By far it’s the best one my family has ever had.

So far I am really enjoying this TV. I put it in my son's room so he could have an updated smart TV which makes things so much easier because I can install whatever streaming services I want and don't have to worry about it. I do like that I can choose what he does and doesn't have access to. The picture is clear and clean, no issues with a glow or pixels being off. The setup was really easy, but I should note that if you don't have a roku account you will have to make one to use the TV, it is free so you don't have to subscribe to anything extra. I could pick and choose what apps I liked and search for others that I may want to add. The TV is fairly lightweight and adding the legs was easy. You can add older audio cords or use an hdmi for a DVD player or game system if wanted. The setup only took about 10 minutes and you do need wireless internet to set it up. Overall really happy with the TV so far and going to continue enjoying it for as long as it lasts.
