Making braided hoses can be a pain and it's expensive. These Ano-Tuff fittings make it a bit easier. You do not have to worry about clocking the fittings when assembling the hose since they swivel. The finish is the main feature of these fittings, it is as advertised. TOUGH. The size is correct when used with the corresponding hose. I have pressure tested every hose I have made and none of them have leaked. Nothing worse than having to waste expensive braided hose because a cheap fitting leaks or cross threaded. These are expensive but they work. Cutting the braided hose is very easy using a zip tie on either side of your cut and a cut off wheel. This method is easy and has worked very well for me. Liberal use of lube is also a help. I highly recommend a set of vise jaws such as Earls 1004ERL even if you are going to make 1 hose. You can use the aluminum jaw protectors for other things and they make assembling a hose a breeze.
