Tripp Lite Surge Protector Power Strip 120V 5-15R 8 Outlet 25' Cord 1440 Joule (TLP825)

The Tripplite Surge Protector with 25 ft cord is a solid power base for my Meade LX 90 go-to telescope. Though designed for indoor use, I use my surge protector outdoors close to the patio AC outlet. I needed to replace a mobile 12 volt DC battery that went dead after 5 years of use. This Tripplite surge protector fits my needs nicely. It sits firmly on my tiled patio and is away from the house thanks to the 25 ft cord. I can view the night sky without my roof top in the way. Very few surge protectors are on the market that can go a sizeable distance from an AC outlet. When I saw that Tripplite did, I had to have one. Now, as long as it doesn't rain, I'm happy to be outside enjoying the heavens.

I am building an HO scale model train layout, and needed something durable, surge protecting, and with a long extension cord, since there was no wall outlet near where all the electronic control equipment was to be setup. This fits the bill for what I needed. I Like the fact that it allows for both small 3-prong plugs, as well as the large 9v adapters. Did not really find any other brands with this comparable pricing, and glad it had the features required. Thank you for a great product!!!
