Melting Directions: Microwave: Melt 1 cup (6 oz.) morsels in uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on high (100%) power for 1 minute; stir. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. In Saucepan: Melt morsels in small, heavy-duty saucepan over lowest possible heat. When morsels begin to melt, remove from heat; stir. Return to heat for a few seconds at a time, stirring just until morsels are melted. Immediately remove saucepan from heat once morsels are melted. For Dipped Fruit: Melt 1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening and 1 cup (6 oz.) morsels as directed above.

Nestlé Toll House 100% Pure Cocoa is wonderful for baking. It has the perfect consistency with the powder and is easy to measure for recipes. I have used it in many different ways, the most recent being cookies. It adds a nice chocolate flavor, but it's sweetened by the other ingredients used. We always have some on hand for baking needs.
