Hard to do better for the price
Just picked up this knife, and I'm already impressed. I've always been a big advocate for work knives—I use one every day. I often carry a hawkbill serrated Byrd (also made by Spyderco), which is fantastic for cutting rope, pipe, and other tough materials. That said, there are plenty of times when I want something more conventional. I used to carry a Swiss Pioneer Alox but lost it a couple of years ago. This new knife feels like a perfect replacement—excellent for carving wood spirits, making feather sticks out in the woods, and tackling general hiking tasks. It's also shaping up to be great for everyday use.
