GE Advantium 240v ovens ROCK!
I am now on my second 240v. Advantium oven because I simply can't live without one! Back in 2000, I bought one of the first Advantiums being sold and it was a 240v. over the cooktop unit. In TEN YEARS of daily use, it didn't even have a light bulb burn out. My then-teenage son used the Advantium *constantly*, but even he couldn't damage the 'bullet-proof' Advantium. When I moved in 2010, I bought a 240v. Advantium 30 in. wall oven which I use many times a day and it's PERFECT. Just like the previous Advantium, NOTHING breaks on it in spite of constant use. Yes, there's some smoke and mess if you're cooking sausages without any cover, but it's otherwise EXCEPTIONAL. I just bought my THIRD Advantium 240v. oven to install downstairs in the rec room. The 110v. Advantium units are NOT the same and I don't recommend them due to reliability issues and slower cooking. Seriously, I tell everyone to BUY an Advantium 240v. oven and they'll never regret it! I've professionally designed many 'upscale' kitchens and GE appliances are MUCH more reliable than the "designer brands". For my own kitchens, I buy GE!

Couldn't have a kitchen without it
I am using the original model of the Advantium that I bought in 2000 before it was even in the store. We use it for everything. Baked salmon comes out with a faint brown crust- lovely. Reheated muffins keep their crispness on the top and no sogginess. Can't say enough positive things about this appliance. The 240 volt work much better than the 120.
