The Tripp Lite Series 1,000 Watt RMS PowerVerter Compact Power Inverter provides a durable and safe way to enjoy AC household appliances in your car, truck, SUV, or RV by tapping into the 12-volt accessory port/cigarette lighter. The PV1000HF features a lightweight housing, which makes it ultra-portable, so you can take your power inverter with you from vehicle to vehicle or wherever you need to use your equipment. NOTE: To protect against high current draw that may occur during inverter failure, a fuse link rated at 175 amps should be positioned no more than 18 in. from the PV1000HF's battery in the positive line.

Great resource for portable power.
Solid construction, easy to operate and dependable. I have this in a work van to provide power for operating a laptop, recharging batteries, running tools like a small air compressor and lights. Has come in handy in using my tools in assisting stranded motorists to get them back on the road. I like the battery saver feature that will not let it discharge my vehicle battery to the point of not having starting power.
