I'm a first time user and had great results!

I wasn't even familiar with joint compound. I knew it as "mud, " and this was my first try at it. When I sanded my guest bathroom walls, I discovered several layers of old wallpaper. This was my first time using joint compound, and I think it worked great. I did use a sealer before and after because of the wallpaper and damaged drywall.

Nice Product

Used this product for drywall repairs during room refurbishment. After reading the negative reviews, I wanted to share my experience. Bottom line up front: I love this product! After using 'hot' mud over mesh tape to repair settlement cracks, I used this for the skim/feathering coats. Adherence wasn't an issue and it went on smoothly. Dry time was fast, and I've experienced no issues covering the repairs with primer and latex paint.

Good product, disregard review referencing consistency

It goes on very easily and is easy to spread. The review stating a tar-like consistency is either misinformed about tar or got a bad batch. I'm willing to guess the latter. The dry time indicator is one of my favorite DAP qualities however it appears to indicate white and dry long before the suggested wait time so I'd recommend sticking to the instructions.
