Schumacher DC to AC Power Inverter for Cars- 140W, 280 Peak Watt, AC/USB

I bought this product to be able to charge extra batteries for my cell phone. (I guess I'm a power user, I go thru maybe 3 batteries a day). Using it for this purpose never runs my car battery down, however I got ambitious one night when the power was out and I needed a fan to sleep (too hot). I meant to go out and start the car 3 or 4 hours after running the fan, but slept thru alarm and at the 5 or 6 hr point my car battery was too low to start the car. So you do need to stay on top of this if you are going to be using this device to it's maximum.

This won't power your high power ac devices that need allot of current to run but it will do just fine on laptop computers and multiple iPad/phone ac chargers (they tend to put out more juice than most car chargers, I used a power strip to get a few small items powered off it). It also has a built in usb power plug that charges my HTC phones quickly (not .5 amps like many cheap chargers). Many similar products are out there but the Wal-Mart online price for this is cheapest I had seen, and I bought it on my phone while at Wal-Mart, then just brought it to electronics section where someone escorted me to the customer service counter (separate counter from customer returns) and checked me out! note the shelf price was higher than the online price I bought it at, and this particular item was in the camping section, not electronics.
