At first I was hesitant but cause becoming from the old days with a curling iron that has the clip to hold the hair while it curls I thought it would be hard to use, but I'd give it a try what's the worst that could happen right. My hair is very straight and thin,short and doesn't usually hold a curl, I decided to try this on my granddaughters hair first just to get a nice picture, I have 3 granddaughters so I'm sure they'll be who uses the wand the most, lol. It was pretty easy to use on her hair it's longer and it took the curl really well, I was glad to have the glove but it wouldn't do to good for a burn if more than a quick touch but hopefully that's all it would be. I really like how fast the wand heats up and has the different settings I mean my hair is thin so really don't need it as hot as say someone with thick hair. I like that it has an automatic shut off we know how forgetful we can get in the mornings when getting ready for work. If you like to use a curling wand this will be a perfect on for you.

The Remington T-Studio Silk Ceramic 1" Curling Wand is just amazing! For starters, it came with a heat protective glove, which really is like a thinner version of your everyday winter gloves. It didn't do well protecting my hands from the heat even though I did not touch the barrel directly. It almost felt like the glove was absorbing the heat even though I was holding the end of her hair on the tip of the wand. I would suggest getting a different type of glove, maybe even one like you would use in the kitchen. It also came with 6 bonus hair elastics which are nice as my girls use them all the time. The curling wand itself is wonderful. It heats up to 410 degrees in a matter of seconds. It actually locks the temperature in when styling so if you accidentally hit the button, it won't change the temperature. Another thing I really love about this is that it doesn't take me long at all to curl my daughters hair. With a regular curling iron, it took me over an hour to curl her hair for prom. When I used the Remington T-studio Silk Ceramic curling wand, I had her hair curled for her senior pics in about 20 minutes. She has very thick and frizzy hair and using this, her hair was sleek, shiny and just beautiful! I loved the ease of just grabbing her hair and wrapping it around the wand. It was so simple and fast. This curling wand comes with a 4 year limited warranty. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and I do recommend it for fast and easy styling.
