- Contains a premium instant yeast plus dough improvers, giving a consistent rise to all your baked goods. Plus, there’s no need to proof the yeast; simply add it to your flour and other dry ingredients.
- The dough improvers strengthen the gluten network, which helps to prevent dough from collapsing during the rise and also in the oven.
- Provides tolerance to the dough if it is under-kneaded or over-proofed.
- To activate: Mix yeast in with flour and other dry ingredients. Use very warm (120-130°F) water, make sure water is not too hot to touch.
- 2 1/4 teaspoons is approximately equal to one packet (0.25-ounce / 7-gram) of dry yeast.

Platinum Yeast from Red Star is the original, 2-in-1 premium instant baker’s yeast blended with a dough improver. This unique baker’s yeast formula takes the guesswork out of baking with yeast. Whether you’re new to baking or an expert baker, Platinum Yeast will improve the results of your homemade baked concoctions, from bread to pizza crust and beyond. Platinum Yeast from Red Star is ideal for all yeast baking recipes, and is ideal for use in traditional and bread machine baking methods. One (0.25 ounce or 7 gram) packet contains approximately 2 ¼ teaspoons of yeast. Store unopened packets in a cool, dry place; for long-term storage, place in the freezer. Platinum Yeast from Red Star is NOT gluten-free.

Red Star® Platinum may be used 1:1 in any recipe calling for yeast.For Bread Machines:? Use liquids at 80°F. Add liquids, flour, dry ingredients. Add Red Star® Platinum Yeast last.? Red Star® Platinum Yeastis a fast-rising, instant yeast; use ½ tsp. per cup of flour in regular cycles.? For express cycles, follow manufacturer?s manual for liquid temperatures and yeast levels. Red Star® Platinum may be used 1:1 in any recipe calling for yeast.For Traditional Recipes:? BLEND Red Star® Platinum Yeast with dry ingredients and half of the flour in the recipe.? ADD very warm liquids (120°?130°F). Avoid liquids that are too hot to touch.? BLEND with enough remaining flour to make a firm dough.? KNEAD on floured surface until dough is smooth and elastic.? COVER, let REST a minimum of 10 minutes (or RISE to double, if desired).? SHAPE dough as desired. COVER and let RISE until doubled in size.? BAKE as directed according to recipe.
