Keda liquid dye mixes with many types of reagents such as: Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Lacquer Thinner, Alcohols, Water, but work best as an alcohol dye. That also means Keda liquid dye will mix with any non-oil base wood sealers and wood finishes, as well as epoxy resin. Great stuff
The crimson red color is deep red and beautiful. Even looks nicer when the wood grain parts are dyed black. I tried mixing with acetone but found that it evaporates too quick. I was skeptical about using water but it works great. If you let the stained wood sit a day or two the color darkens and really pops. Applying a clear coat over it enhances the color even more. I used Minwax clear satin. Wear good gloves when handling the dye. It's hard to remove from skin.
