Chipped first use

I just took it out of the box and used for the first time and it's already chipped. How can something this expensive dive not even survive the first use?

Chips and needs periodic replacement

The chipping is ridiculous. Even with the bowl height adjusted, it's going to run into the occasional nut, etc. that creates enough pressure to chip the coating. A 1.4 overall rating should be telling the product team something: make a non-coated alternative!

Enamel chipping off? Worried about Micro Plastics!

Contacted KitchenAid via their on-line contact form with picture of chipping beater, but was told to contact another dept. (with not much success). KitchenAid stand mixer (bowl lift style) is the best with its power and large capacity. Like so many others, I have an issue with the beater that is chipping, and worried about using it with micro plastics getting into my food. Poor choice of material and hoping to be able to replace with something better ( but not able to find) ??
