My 4 yo granddaughter wasn't ready for the bike with training wheels and didn't like the trainer bikes that don't have the pedals. With this trike it fits her size, is sturdy so that she doesn't flip over. She can ride and maneuver ! With bike she was too focused on watching the pedals and fear of falling, that she didn't watch where she was guiding. This trike is great size and has built her confidence.

A Radio Flyer Trike with 12” wheel

Great tricycle, well built, sturdy and easy to put together and adjust the seat height. It is a little big for my 2-1/3 yr.-old granddaughter. But I thought she'd get more use out of it than the smaller model with the 10” wheel. My son is going to put blocks on the pedals so she can reach. In the meantime, her 4-1/2 yr.-old brother loves pedaling her around while she gets a ride on the back step of the bike. Since the bike is so sturdy, it can handle the weight of both of them. The adjustable seat comes in very handy for switching riders too.
