As a summer tire, these ...

As a summer tire, these were even better than I expected. I was looking for a tire that wouldn't make a lot of noise, and rode well, but would have great grip in all conditions (except snow). It doesn't matter how fast I take corners, these tires do not squeal, or break traction, even in the wet! If you want an excellent 3 season tire, these are pricey, but they are definitely worth it. I love these tires, and will be buying another set when these wear out.

Excellent Michelins for Classic Porsches

I replaced all four 7-year old Michelin Pilot Sports on my 1982 Porswche 911sc Targa with the newer Michelin Pilot Exalto tires. What a difference! My 39-year old Porsche 911sc runs much smoother and the adhesion/grip is certainly more noticeable. Well done Michelin. Customer for life.

The Exalto PE2 tires are ...

The Exalto PE2 tires are hands down the best tire I've ever owned...and I've been through three cars and around 6 sets of tires. I have a street-modified car with a lowered suspension; where other brands have cracked, blistered or even failed, the Michelins have lasted. The tread wear rating was kind of low compared to the A/S Sport, however I wanted the Summer Ultra High performance and wasn't too concerned about tread wear at the time. These tires are sticky, which made it harder for me to break traction and squeal the tires. Where there used to be chirps, squeals, or other loss of traction, now there is tire-on-asphalt-gripping noise. The ride is stable and rides very nicely and stable at high speeds and in high-speed maneuvering. I drive mixed city/freeway driving and these tires have been through potholes, uneven pavement, rain, dirt, etc and they keep their composure (and mine) through it all. These tires are Summer tires and not designed to be driven through snow or in freezing temperatures...but that's never been an issue for me, since I tend to avoid those same settings. This set of tires (40K miles and still have life in them) has made a true 'Michelin-man' out of me and I will continue to purchase and recommend Michelins to my friends and family.
