This was a Christmas gift for my husband. I was worried about the comment that one would have to install the clock hands, but my husband is good with tools, so I thought it will be something he could do. I was pleasantly surprised when the clock arrived with the hands already on the clock. Then I worried it had been a return and that's why the clock hands were on there. But the clock has been working great so far. I am not sure if the clock now ships with the hands already on it or if I got lucky that it worked from someone's return. The clock had even arrived sooner than expected which was wonderful being the holiday time. Love that it is a useful unique gift. No scratches on the record. Nicely cut out. Runs quietly. We love it.
