Has performed as expected

I've had this microwave long enough now (seven weeks) that I feel I can give it a very good recommendation. I use it nearly every day, often just to heat something for a minute or less, and it has performed as expected. It was delivered just two days after ordering. As it is only 700 watts, heating times suggested by TV dinners, entrees, etc. must usually be adjusted upwards, but I've yet to be disappointed by the results. The unit is very attractive, not too loud, does not get excessively hot (provide space for ventilation), but, as others have stated, you cannot see your food cooking and rotating through the door. The four beeps that sound when heating is done ARE rather loud. The only other critique I can give it is that RCA, for some reason, seems to have difficulty maintaining the proper time on the unit - it has gained 2-3 minutes since I've had it.

good bargain priced oven

I haven't had this for long, used it for a week just to make sure it's working okay. I bought this because I've had a very inexpensive other brand microwave for ages and ages, worried it might wear out soon so got this to be ready when it does. It's (the RCA) got a good enough set of features to do everything I need it to, I'm not expecting anything fantastic at this price range. But it heats well and works fine plus has extra defrost and other features so I'm very satisfied with it. I am a little nervous about it not breaking but that's only because it was for such a great price. But actually I'm really very very happy with it. I'm used to this size and wattage range oven - someone used to a higher wattage one may have to adjust accordingly but it seems to heat things better than my other higher wattage small oven. Again I've only used it for a week, but I'm really very happy with it, was a great bargain for me.

Decent Microwave

I've only had this microwave a few weeks, I purchased it in a combo deal with a mini fridge. It works great! Most of the newer microwaves don't allow you to type in a time you just push the number button and that's how many minutes it cooks but this one is like the old style where you can punch in whatever time you want and just hit start. My family really likes this!
