Keep moistened Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy (three parts kibble to one part water) available to puppies at all times until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks of age). FEEDING GROWING PUPS After weaning, Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy can be fed moistened or dry at the same time every day – very young puppies three times a day, older puppies twice a day. Use the feeding guidelines shown here, but remember individual needs can vary. Feed to maintain ideal body condition as shown. Slight appetite changes and occasional digestive upsets are normal in puppies. If upsets become severe or linger longer than a day or two, contact your veterinarian. FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTION Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female’s good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. SWITCHING TO PURINA PUPPY CHOW TENDER & CRUNCHY When switching to Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy from another food, please allow 7 -10 days for the transition. Gradually add more Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy and less of the previous food to your pet’s dish each day until the changeover is complete. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.

My younger dog is doing well on this food. She is one year old and it keeps her healthy. My older dog also seems to like it, and even though it says its for puppies he seems to be moving around better and is less stiff. Its probably due to the added nutrition targeted to joint health in this large breed puppy food.

remember that colors and shapes are just for appealing to the buyer as dogs are color blind. I buy this for my two Rottweiler puppies for the nutritional value, but this is much more expensive than other dog chow products. I am on a fixed income and have had to give up other items for myself to get my boys this food that includes mother's milk unlike other puppy food. coupons or price cuts would be great. I do recommend if you can afford it. My two puppies go through the 30lb bag every two weeks. a larger value bag would be a good idea for this product but I have not seen a large bag available.

Great nutrition for older outside dogs
The food provides my outside dogs extra calories and nutrition they need in cold weather. They have a heated building to use but they like to roam around the yard during the day even in cold snowy weather. As a result they stay at their optimum weight with no winter weight loss. They are active. Their coats remains thick and shiny which is important for Porti's. KP
