Amounts are recommended for an average adult dog with normal activity. Remember food intake requirements vary depending on age, activity and environment, and should be adjusted accordingly. SWITCHING TO DOG CHOW When switching to Dog Chow from another food, please allow 7 - 10 days for the transition. Gradually add more Dog Chow and less of the previous food to your pet's dish each day until the changeover is complete. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.

Our shepherd has been eating this for 3 years, I believe. I recently tried to switch to sensitive skin food due to scratching. we noticed she wasn't as hyper and figured she was getting activity time with the recently moved home grandchildren, she actually stopped eating, but we didn't realize it, figuring 1 or another of us were feeding her. One night at her supper time, we noticed she didn't eat. oh well, habits change, then the next night she didn't eat, after asking the family members we realized she would not eat the new food and she wasn't tired from over stimulation with the kids, she didnt like the new food. I have been using purine dog food for over forty years all of me wonderful dogs have done well on it now with delivery I can order forty pound bag my age and limitations haven't let me buy in large quantities prior to this program delivery from Walmart is top shelf as my dad would say highly recommended both purina and Walmart
