I did a lot of research on the proper puppy food for my 10 week old German Shepherd puppy because I bought her from someone who was not caring for her properly. she was half the size she should have been at that age weighing only 8 lbs at 10 weeks old. this is my second German Shepherd and my first was twice her size at 10 weeks old. I needed good quality ingredients! Google suggested this brand as a budget-friendly option for what I needed recommending real chicken or some kind of meat along with rice to ease digestion and Omega-3s, a brain and cognitive supplement, as well as that nutritious ingredients for healthy muscles, bones and joints. they happened to be out of the large breed formula, but I've just purchased the large breed formula, because all around puppy formula worked so well. I figured going with the large breed would just add to the benefits of this puppy food. I've had her for 1 month now, and she has doubled in size and weight. her stool is solid, and she is so happy and smart. this puppy food is absolutely what it describes to be and well worth the reasonable price tag. in fact I did AI research on this puppy food versus the FDA approved food for puppies by pedigree, wild, and one other brand and this topped those because the first ingredient is real chicken , it has grains for digestion (rice), and no corn or soy etc filler that each of those other brands all had one or more of.
